Well on Friday night the 2nd November 2007,I coached my first 13C game for the club. It was a little chaotic as I had no idea about what paperwork and timing responsibilities I had. The coaching on court was the easy bit! The girls lost but showed encouraging signs as they have been getting beaten by very large amounts to say the least. The loss was only by 11 goals and I put in down to lazy passing in the second half when the girls got a little tired. There was about half a dozen turnovers which proved to be the difference between a win and a loss. We will work on some fitness training with lots of running. They are not going to like me for it, but hopefully it will help them get through games as the weather gets warmer. It will also help the younger smaller girls keep up with the older girls that they will be facing on court. Hopefully we will have a fully committed group of girls willing to work hard so we can enjoy some wins. I look forward now to each training session and game and hope that we will move forward and upward as the season rolls on. Cheers all.

This opposition team got put up to the next grade after this game. Good idea as they were far too strong for our grade!
